Rena Sofer
Rena Sherel Sofer (born on the 2nd of December, 1968) is an American actress who is known for her role in the daytime network, in episodic guest appearances as well as made-for TV movies. Sofer won a Daytime Emmy Award 1995 for her performance as Lois Cerullo of the soap drama General Hospital. She played Quinn Fuller in the CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful between 2013 and 2022.
Early life
Sofer was born in Arcadia (California) The daughter of Susan Sofer (nee Franzblau) who works as a psychologist, and Martin Sofer, who is an Orthodox Rabbi.
In 1970, she relocated in 1970 to Teaneck, New Jersey with her brother David and father. But, Sofer lived in Western Pennsylvania as a young person. They resided in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, where her father was the director of Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She was a student at the Frisch School, a coeducational Modern Orthodox Jewish highschool in Paramus (New Jersey). Sofer was born in North Bergen, New Jersey. Her father was a rabbi of Temple Beth El. Sofer was a graduate of North Bergen High School and then went on to Montclair State College.
Career
Television during the daytime
Sofer first appeared on Lois Marie Cerullo on General Hospital. The first time she appeared on the show was in 1993 as the manager of an ensemble. Her first big-name character was Rocky McKenzie on the daytime soap show Loving (1988-91).
