Handler was born in a nice neighborhood, and enjoyed a joyful childhood. When she was in her early 20s Handler moved to Los Angeles in order to take on acting. Handler was an actor in order to support herself. Handler's ability to write stories came into play at 21. Handler then decided to make a full-time commitment to stand-up comedy. Handler's first job was with an acting gig in the cast that included all females in the Oxygen channel's reality television series Girls who behave badly. The show featured a combination of hidden cameras and humorous humor. The show was broadcast from 2002 to2005. The host appeared on various shows, such as Weekends at D.L. The Bernie Mac Show The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler appeared on The Tonight Show for a period of time as a correspondent.
