Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish model and actor since 11 November 1996. Her debut in a feature film was a tiny part on the Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). Later she was portrayed as a Nazi-sympathising Archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 1989). There were also roles for Siobhan Dovan in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Doody started modeling after being approached by an experienced photographer. The result was an enviable modeling career in the commercial world. Doody was extremely cautious about doing the glamorous work or doing nude. The same rule continued into her acting career. Doody was offered a tiny role as Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill when her name was picked by the director of casting. The actress acted alongside Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) prior to taking possibly her most famous role in her career as Austrian Nazi-sympathiser and archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade playing opposite Harrison Ford. Doody has been in three films with James Bond actors. Doody co-starred in 1991 with Jonathan Pryce opposite the British mini-series Selling Hitler, which was inspired by the publication fraud known as The Hitler Diaries. She subsequently relocated to Hollywood. She was Flannery her agent and partner for Major League II. She was selected as the replacement for Cybill Shepherd, who was once L'Oreal's spokeswoman. Doody was part of the 2004 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine portrayed her at a ceremony in recognition of an award. Doody was a co-star with Patrick Swayze in a 2004 TV movie adaptation of King Solomon's Mines and also was a part of a short titled Benjamin's Struggle (2005) a pamphlet that discussed the Holocaust and in the British TV series Waking the Dead (in a two-part series known as. Doody was a part-time actress in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture (2010). The following year, she had been scheduled to play the lead role for The Asphyx remake, but the project was cancelled. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. The following year, she appeared as Pam Jefferson on We Still Kill the Old Way.
