Allyson Felix
Allyson Michel Felix was born 18 November 1985, in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a primary school teacher in Balboa Magnet. Felix was aware that she had a talent to run when she was a student at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After just 10 weeks of her initial attempt, she was second in the 200 meters race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix finished her high school education and was signed to an official contract with Adidas. In the year 2004, she enrolled in the University of Southern California, where her major was elementary education. The following year, Felix was awarded the first Olympic medal during the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece setting a junior world record by taking 200 metres at 22.18 seconds. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her become the youngest woman to be crowned the winner of the 200-meter race. In 2007, she won this title and beat her Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix was a frequent competitor in London, Beijing Rio de Janeiro, as well as Tokyo. She consistently placed in the top three of the events.
