Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. The father of her Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley, and her mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix was an athlete of the highest level and developed a passion for sprinting at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships within just 10 weeks, after her first attempt. Felix graduated from her high school education and was signed to a pro-contract with Adidas. In 2004 she began her studies at her first year at the University of Southern California, which is where she studied elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics In Athens Greece. Felix ran 200 meters in 22.18s, setting an all-time junior world record. She became the world's youngest champion in 200 meters in the Helsinki World Championships. She was able to defend her title in 2007, beating her former Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix competed at her first Olympics during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo consistently placing within the top three places in all her events.
